MEDIA 3 APP – Frequently Asked Questions

What is MEDIA 3 APP?

MEDIA 3 APP is a creative marketplace designed to connect clients with local creatives for in-person services across the United States. Whether you're a photographer, videographer, graphic designer, or a business looking for creative support—we’re here to help you meet, not manage.

What does the name MEDIA 3 APP represent?

MEDIA 3 APP was inspired by the three core creative services we highlight—photography, videography, and graphic design. The '3' represents that trifecta. 'MEDIA' reflects the type of work we elevate, and 'APP' reminds people this is a modern, digital platform designed to connect creatives with clients easily, transparently, and locally. It’s simple, intentional, and built by creatives, for creatives.

Is this a mobile app?

Not yet—but we’re getting there! MEDIA 3 APP is currently a web-based platform, accessible on any browser. A mobile app is in development and part of our long-term vision.

What happens after a client and creative connect?

Think of us as a matchmaker. Once a client and a creative establish a connection, they’re free to take the conversation and coordination offline. There are no penalties or fees for taking business off-platform—our goal is to help you connect. What happens next is up to you! Just be sure to come back if you ever have another need.

Can I accept payment outside of MEDIA 3 APP?

Yes! You are completely allowed to accept payment however you choose—CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, cash, or however you and your client agree.

However, if you use our Stripe-powered payment system, there’s built-in payment protection. If a service isn't delivered as promised or expectations aren’t met, we can step in to help resolve the issue and protect both sides.

Is this platform available outside of the U.S.?

At this time, MEDIA 3 APP is only available for users located in the United States. We’re focused on local, in-person creative work and intend to scale responsibly as our community grows.

What kind of creatives can join?

Photographers, videographers, graphic designers. If your service can happen in person, you’re welcome to join.

Is MEDIA 3 APP responsible for what happens during the in-person service?

No. While we do our best to build a safe and respectful community, MEDIA 3 APP is not liable for any incidents, disputes, or outcomes that occur before, during, or after an in-person booking. Users are responsible for their own safety and should exercise sound judgment, just like with any real-world interaction.

Is my personal information safe?

Yes, but use common sense. When creatives build a profile, they’re voluntarily submitting contact information, portfolio links, and other personal details that may be visible to potential clients. Only include what you're comfortable sharing publicly. We’re not responsible for how that information is used once it’s shared.

How is MEDIA 3 APP different from other platforms?

We’re like the dating app of the creative world—built to spark the right match. We’re also a little like a vacation rental site, in that we help people find what they need locally and then step out of the way so things can happen organically. No middleman. No micromanaging. Just clean, creative connections.

What happens if there's a dispute or issue?

If payment was handled off-platform, we can’t intervene or offer support. If it was done through MEDIA 3 APP’s Stripe system, we have tools in place to help mediate and potentially refund depending on the situation.

What is an RFP?

A client RFP is a formal request made by a client (or organization) inviting vendors, freelancers, or service providers to submit proposals for a specific project or service need.

What is a definition of a creative?

A creative is a professional who uses artistic skills and technical expertise to conceptualize, capture, and craft visual content that communicates a message, tells a story, or supports a brand’s identity.

Are the contract templates provided by Media 3 App legally binding?

The contract templates we provide are examples based on documents we've used in the past.
